My Story

I never thought about writing until my Mom became sick with dementia. She had gone to school for journalism. It just didn't strike me as interesting until I needed a way to express my sadness as the disease slowly took everything away from her.

My debut novel, Struggling Toward Hope is not just a story about the people of the Ute Nation who used to roam the Pikes Peak Region. It is the story of my Mother's loss.
